November 22 Drop Day

On November 22, 2024 Operation Patriot Packs delivered essentially supplies to homeless veterans. First we met homeless veterans at Feges BBQ in Houston's Greenway Plaza.

Feges BBQ feeds veterans for FREE on fridays and many homeless or economically disadvantaged veterans will come. Next we delievered a large volume of essentially supplies to the Civic Engagement team at the Michael E. Debakey VA Medical Center where we met with Shelita Magee, Chief of the VA Center for Development & Civic Engagement. Shelita is an amazing partner and offered us insight into the ongoing needs of homeless veterans in the Houston area.

Lastly, that night we scouted downtown Houston for veterans in need. On our trip we were able to distribute a large volume of donations to veterans on the street huddled under highways.
In total, we were able to to deliver over 100 handwarmers, 50 clean tshirts, 40 blankets, 25 Patriot Pack kits, in addition to wool socks, hoodies, hat/glove kits and sleeping bags.
